VERY GOOD: Would have given this an EXCELLENT rating if it had hook ups and was closer to a town. We also had no wifi or cell service but they do have a phone by the ranger station that has free long distance. The sites on the lake are amazing! We had site 154 with open lake and mountain views and our own private lake access. This is a perfect campground if you are looking to get away from it all. Bathrooms were very clean and they have a beautiful beach on the lake. $25 per night but if you are a NY state resident it is $20.

GOOD: We liked this brewery/restaurant. The beer was good and so was the cheese platter. The have a patio with lake views and we really loved the little town of Lake Placid!
Lake Placid Brewery
Very Good: Loved this small batch brewery. There is really no reason to go to Tupper Lake. We went to do laundry and just happened upon this brewery owned by two friends who just opened 15 months ago. Every beer was delicious; mostly IPA's and lagers. Renee's favorite beers are stouts and porters but she really liked all of these beers.
