“Is that a Camel?” – Yep, that is a Camel. One of the many odd sightings one will see traveling across this country of ours. We saw this “petting zoo” at a gas station off the interstate a few hours south of Salt Lake City, Utah. There was nothing around for miles but sure enough they had a camel?
“DJ Dolph” – We met Dolph in Salt Lake City while waiting to eat at Takashi, Renee’s new favorite Sushi restaurant. This guy was pretty interesting and very personable. Apparently he has been the DJ or music consultant for many famous clients and companies. Check him out here.
“McDonalds or the Taj Mahal?” – Check out this pic of a McDonalds in a Walmart in Southern Utah? We wanted to bring in our bed and spend the night in this 4 star hotel, I mean McDonalds! Did I say inside a Walmart in Utah?
“Dirty Peg” – So Peg, our small home on wheels, gets very dirty from time-to-time! We have pulled her into many a car wash but it never seems to get her really clean. So I did some research and found out how I can make her shine!! Keep in mind I did not use a hose or running water. First, I took a wet rag to Peg, followed by dryer sheets (yes dryer sheets) to remove the bugs and road tar – with a little elbow grease it worked great. Then I mixed water, vinegar, and baking soda together and scrubbed Peg. She never looked better, it took several buckets (really small bowl) and a lot of scrubbing but it worked great!
“Temple Square” – Of course we had to check out Temple Square in Salt Lake City, the home of the Mormons. Temple square is the heart of the city; some of the buildings are pretty impressive. Certainly worth a tour if you find yourself in the area.
